Sally Ride When my mind comes to think about “space” I think about rockets and white guys in bulky space suits. Previous to my research about her for this post I did not think about the Sally Ride. The first American women to enter space (1983). Ride was asked trival and vain questions by the media about what makeup she would bring and how she thought the trip would affect her reproduction. Questions that revolve nothing around her scientific work or the science of the mission. Ride was an astronaut and she was talked and treated in way where her position was dimished, for these reasons she is a hidden figure of the space program.
